TOPIC: Should we do without 5G?

Should we do without 5G? 1 month 1 week ago #169662

The advent of this new technology will require equipping compatible devices. Current phones, with the exception of a handful of them recently marketed, do not support 5G. What will become of the millions, even billions, of 4G smartphones still in good working order? A big setback for the planet's carbon footprint. Not to mention the surge in mobile data consumption - and therefore the energy bill - which will be mechanically encouraged by the arrival of new uses.

Should we fear a health disaster? Certainly, nothing attests to date the harmfulness of 5G. But nothing also contradicts it. Combined with exposure to the waves already generated by the 2G, 3G and 4G networks, the arrival of 5G will necessarily increase overall exposure. As a precaution, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), an organ dependent on the World Health Organization (WHO), has classified the radio frequencies used, among others, for 5G in the category of possible carcinogens.
